For Honor Player Count PC Windows, It’s not uncommon for a new multiplayer game to start with gaudy player-count numbers only to taper off as time passes. In the case of For Honor, though, its drop-off was much more dramatic in terms of speed and volume, and it might have hit rock bottom.

This is incredibly disappointing for For Honor, as Ubisoft only recently rolled out a slew of changes to the balance of their game, specifically as it relates to in-game currency (Steel) and the power of purchasable gear, which was among For Honor’s most significant points of criticism.

In an aggressive PR blitz, Ubisoft increased the amount of Steel players earn from doing daily activities (matches and Orders), and they rebalanced Revenge mode, which was part of the reason why the microtransactions were so controversial.

Before For Honor rolled out these changes on March 31, the game had a daily average of 3-6 thousand players on Steam, according to Githyp. Since then, the daily average has been a solid 3-6 thousand players. This player count routinely ranks For Honor around the 80th most played PC game, behind even single-player or story-driven titles, let alone other competitive multiplayer titles.

“For Honor,” developed by Ubisoft, is a multiplayer-focused action-fighting game that offers an immersive experience on PC. Set in a medieval-inspired world, the game brings together three distinct factions: Knights, Vikings, and Samurai, each with their unique fighting styles and warriors. Players engage in visceral melee combat across various modes, including Dominion, where teams fight for control of key points, and Duel, a one-on-one intense battle. The game’s intricate combat system emphasizes timing, strategy, and skill, allowing players to parry, block, and execute precise attacks.

On the PC platform, “For Honor” benefits from enhanced graphical capabilities and the precision of mouse and keyboard controls. The game’s player count on PC has seen fluctuations over time, influenced by gameplay updates, expansions, and events. Ubisoft’s commitment to addressing gameplay balance, connectivity issues, and introducing new content has contributed to maintaining a dedicated player base. The introduction of dedicated servers significantly improved online stability, making for a more enjoyable experience for players on PC. Regular content updates, including new heroes, maps, and gameplay tweaks, have continued to attract both new and returning players, adding to the longevity of the game’s popularity on the PC platform.

Honor’s player count remained primarily unchanged after its significant balance changes.

For Honor’s situation isn’t even replicated in other controversial Ubisoft titles. Rainbox Six: Siege, which many people have hyperbolically declared dead with familiar criticisms, is routinely in the top 20 with almost 20,000 daily players on average. Of course, it’s no No Man’s Sky, but For Honor isn’t doing great.

Many predicted that For Honor could go the way of Evolve as soon as the microtransactions were fully detailed. This game barely survived similar initial controversy, only to completely shut down after more than a year of limping. With Evolve, the gaming community seemed to think that, no matter what changes were implemented, Turtle Rock Studios had already burned the bridge.

For Honor Player Count PC Windows 7/8.1/10/11; Of course, that remains to be seen with For Honor, but you would hope that these kinds of changes are intended to increase player engagement and reassure the community that they are listening to feedback and developing in response to it, but that just hasn’t been the case thus far for For Honor.Honor Player Count For PC

We could also be at the stage where Ubisoft hopes to keep its core audience of dedicated followers happy and not necessarily try to attract new or lost players. If they are trying to grow their player count, I’d expect to see them follow the roadmap of other games that haven’t sold well or lost players. That usually starts with a Free Weekend. Titanfall 2 had already had one of these, Dishonored 2 has a free demo up, and Evolve tried this when things were looking bad. Of course, when this didn’t work for Evolve, they tried to go Free-To-Play, and the rest is history. You can also read this Tycoon Games For PC

Ubisoft, hoping to avoid the same fate, will need to try something else or make further improvements to reinvigorate For Honor’s once-vast audience that has been whittled down to its most hardcore group.

A free promotion just made For Honor the eighth-biggest game in Steam history.

For Honor’s Starter Edition is temporarily free, and the promotion has brought unprecedented interest in the game to a concurrent player peak of over 200,000. A free promotion brings more people in, but that’s the eighth-highest player count in Steam history – a pretty stunning record, even if it is free.Honor Player Count For PC

The player count peaked at 216,399 overnight, and that’s a pretty significant uptick from last month’s peak of 8,204 – or even the record of 45,923 set back at launch. Yes, For Honor offers Steam trading cards, and many of those players are likely idling to get a handful of pennies on the Steam store, but the numbers are still impressive.

It’s even beat out the all-time peak for the Rainbow Six Siege player counts – and that’s a go-to example for a Ubisoft game able to escape from a mediocre launch to find great success later on. Whether For Honor’s impressive week leads to further success down the line remains to be seen, but it’s a promising start.

Honor has been fighting an uphill battle, at least on PC. 95% of the Steam player base dropped off just a few months after release. Though the numbers eventually stabilized, they were lower than you’d hope for a significant multiplayer title. (At least on Steam, we don’t know how many play the game straight through uPlay.)

During a financial report back in February, Ubisoft said For Honor has 7.5 million registered players and 1 million monthly active users, though those numbers are also spread across consoles. Either way, the topic’s been a bit of a touchy subject with the company.Honor Player Count For PC

This much interest can only be a good thing for For Honor’s prospects – the last few months have shown a general increase in player numbers, as you can see on Steam Charts. People are finding new reasons to stick around, and even if those hooks only grab a small percentage of the people currently playing, that’s still a lot of interest to bring in. Head to Steam if you want to pick up the game for yourself.

The release from the developer is an action game developed for Microsoft Windows 7/8.1/10/11, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, allowing players to play the roles of historical soldiers and warriors.

Players include knights, samurai, Vikings, and the Chinese Wu Lin. These characters are placed within a medieval setting, controlled using a third-person perspective.
